C Family | Kettle Cove | Cape Elizabeth, Maine | Maine Lifestyle Family Photographer | Stepheney Collins Photography

Family photography is my jam. It really is. Someone recently asked me what I liked to photograph, and even though a part of me was trying to come up with a cool response to that question, deep in my soul I knew the answer was families. And guess what? Family photography is cool! What is better than spending some time getting to know a family, witnessing who they are together, and then creating images that tell the story of who they are in this season of their lives? I know that these families will look back on their images for years to come, and I am truly honored every time I am asked to do this job.

I met the C family at Kettle Cove in Cape Elizabeth on a particularly overcast Wednesday afternoon, and had a lot of fun getting to know them. Caroline was by far the most loquacious 4 year old I have ever met, and kept me entertained throughout the session, especially when she told me she had a “top-notch brain” and liked to watch Hamilton. Younger brother Sammy showed up with his lovey Bunbun, palms that were dyed blue from an art project, and was unapologetically his laid back self the entire time. I really enjoyed capturing the sibling bond between the two of them—even though both have quite different personalities, it’s obvious they have a very sweet connection. Thank you Meg and Jeff for trusting me to capture these memories for you! Here are a few of my faves.
