As I’m sitting down to write this post, I’ve come to realize that I have been to the beach quite a lot this season for sessions, and I am not sad about it. There have been so many nights when I’ve come home and had to rinse the sand from my feet with the hose on the side of the house and for some odd reason, that makes me happy. I mean, was it really summer if you didn’t get your feet covered in sand and spend some solid time at the beach?

I met up with this sweet family at Higgins Beach in Scarborough on a warm and sunny afternoon for some fun family beach pictures. The last time I photographed this crew was for Scotland’s Fresh 48 hospital session a few years ago, and I was super excited to see how much she had grown since then. Big brother Lincoln was a bundle of energy at that session, and I’m happy to report that he still has that much energy now! Both kiddos loved running down the beach, splashing in the waves, being spun around by mom and tossed into the air by dad. Clearly a family that loves movement, they were so much fun to spend some time with that afternoon and capture their family dynamic.
