If you've been following me for a little while now, you know that maternity sessions are often dream sessions for me. Not only do I get to document a very special time in a woman's life, but these types of sessions allow me to really explore my creativity. No two maternity sessions with me are the same, as I come into each one open and focused on capturing each beautiful mama-to-be as authentically and as true to who she is as possible.

Kristin is one of my nearest and dearest friends, and I was ecstatic that she was willing to get in the water for her second maternity photo shoot. I was blown away by her vulnerability and ability to "just be" at our session, and I love how these images came out. I hope that when Kristin looks back on this pregnancy, these photos help her remember how strong she truly is, and that carrying her family's newest little soul deserves to be celebrated. We couldn't have asked for a better evening on the water, where the late summer sunshine illuminated my beautiful friend's soul and glittered over the lake's surface around her.
