2022 YEAR IN REVIEW | MAINE FAMILY & NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER | STEPHENEY COLLINS PHOTOGRAPHY

Yup, this is a year in review in post. And yup, I’m finally getting around to posting it in March. 2022 was a good year, my friends. I had so many lovely sessions with so many great families. Lots of new faces and lots of familiar ones too, which is always exciting to me. I absolutely love meeting new families and capturing memories for them, just as much as I love seeing families who I’ve been photographing year after year and capturing their new normals. All the little ones amaze me, as they grow and change from year to year and I get to see their personalities emerge.

This year’s batch of favorites from all my sessions is trending heavily black and white. Sometimes I am just more drawn to black and white images, especially when I can only just pick one. That’s probably the hardest part of picking photos for this post—the picking of just one image to share, when I usually have a handful of favorites. But I make myself follow the rules for this one to keep the post from being super long.

To say I am excited for 2023 would be an understatement. I’ve already had so many great sessions this year, and lots of ones on the calendar for early summer that I am very much looking forward to! I will be taking some time off in late spring for maternity leave as we will be welcoming a new little one to our family! I’m due mid-April, and very, very excited to meet this sweet little babe.
