2021 Year in Review | Maine Family & Newborn Photographer | Stepheney Collins Photography
I know, I know. It’s March and I’m just now posting my 2021 Year in Review. The end of last year was super busy for me, and I decided to take some time off in the beginning of 2022 to rest and recuperate! Turns out owning your own business and being a mom is pretty challenging, and if you don’t take time off, you will burnout.
The last time I did a year in review post I opened up with “Hold on to your butts” which is one of my favorite lines from a favorite movie. I don’t think this post is as long as that one, but I will say that putting this together was still such a labor of love. It is a daunting task to go back through every single gallery from every single session that I photographed in 2021. It is even more daunting to go through and pick just one photo from each session. There were so many times when I wished I could pick two or three, but alas, for the sake of keeping this post at a reasonable length, I made myself follow my own rule, which is just one favorite photo from each.
All the photos are in the order they were taken, and all the photos are images that made me feel something. I was incredibly lucky to have been able to photograph around 70 families this year, and I am so, so grateful for each and every person who stepped in front of my lens and trusted me to tell their’s family’s story. A lot of you are returning clients and I can’t even begin to convey what an honor it is to witness your families grow and change each year. I also had lots of new families step in front of my camera this year, and I loved meeting each and every one of you. I am definitely looking forward to what 2022 brings from my business and I cannot wait to continue to witness and capture all of your real and beautiful moments.
