G Family | Peaks Island Family Session | Maine Family Photographer | Stepheney Collins Photography
I’m a big fan of taking ferry boats to photography sessions. There’s just something so fun about boarding a ferry, climbing to the top deck, sitting on one of the red benches, and feeling the sea breeze on your face as the ferry crosses Casco Bay to Peaks Island. That 15 minute trip will never get old, no matter how many times I’ve taken it. This time I came to the island to meet up with the G Family, who brought me to two of their favorite spots on the island for their family photos. You might recognize them from their hospital fresh 48 session I did a few years back when they had their sweet baby girl.
I’m not going to lie, this session ended up being such a dream session for me. I love when families just want to play and be with each other during their time with me. It felt very relaxed and carefree hanging with this crew, and it was very obvious that this family not only loves each other, but they also really enjoy spending time with each other. It was a beautiful thing to witness and document. Here are a few of my favorites from this session, which began in the woods and ended on a beach at sunset.
