When I get asked what my favorite type of session to photograph is, I always, always think of Fresh 48 hospital sessions. There is just something so special about them. Maybe it’s because the time in the hospital goes by so quickly and everything feels so new and raw and real. These images tell the story of the beginning of this new little souls life here on earth. They also tell the story of the beginning of parenthood, and the start of a family becoming a party of 3 instead of a party of 2. Capturing this time in the hospital is a gift, and one that I feel so deeply honored to be able to do. Here are a few of my favorites from little Jocelyn’s Fresh 48 hospital newborn session.
