Ferry Beach Family Session | Portland, Maine | Maine Family Photographer | Stepheney Collins Photography
Often times I get asked when the best time to do a session is. My answer is always the same: anytime! There is no best time to book a session, because I believe that even the most ordinary, everyday moments in life are worthy of being captured. There is no need to wait for a special time to hire a photographer to come document the season of life you’re in. If you’ve looked around at your life and thought to yourself, “we should get photos taken,” that’s reason enough right there. Don’t wait until a special occasion to get in the picture with your babies; you can trust me on this one: the memories you are making on an everyday basis with your family are so worth capturing, and they will be images you treasure years from now.
I’m always excited to head to the beach with families for their sessions, especially when we can get there during golden hour/sunset time. Molly, Yunior, and their sweet baby girl Myla met up with me at Ferry Beach, one of their favorite local Maine beaches, and we had the best time soaking up the last rays of sunshine that day. I’ve known Molly and Yunior a long time, but this was my first time seeing them as the amazing parents they have now become. Myla is one lucky little lady, as Molly and Yunior are seriously the most fun, adventurous parents you’ll meet. Not even 12 weeks old when we had this session, and she had already traveled up and down the east coast in a camper with her parents and their two cats! Here are a few of my favorites from that sunny June evening on the beach.
