Meet Jack | South Portland, Maine | Maine Newborn Photographer | Stepheney Collins Photography
I didn’t think I could love photographing newborns anymore than I already did, but then I became a mom and had my own little guy, and newborn sessions have become that much more special to me. As a photographer, I’ve always had that innate desire to capture and document moments, but now that drive is even stronger. I am seeing through the lens of my own motherhood and time has suddenly become even more fleeting as I witness my own son growing and changing right in front of me.
I want my families to have photos from their newborn session to look back on and see just how little their baby was in their arms. I want them to not only remember just how scrunched up their newborn was, but also how incredibly wide their little arms could stretch. From the whorl of hair on the back of baby’s head to the tiny fingernails on baby’s hand to the finest hairs on baby’s back—these are all things that in a month’s time will already have begun to change. These are all things that deserve to be documented.
I recently had the honor of photographing sweet baby Jack, and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite images from his session on the blog today.
