F Family | Coastal Maine Beach Session | Owls Head, Maine | Maine Lifestyle Family Photographer | Stepheney Collins Photography
One of my favorite things about living in Maine is that there are always new places to explore, even when you go back to locations you’ve been before and think you’ve seen it all. I’ve been to Owls Head Lighthouse quite a few times and I remember there being an amazing beach around the backside of the lighthouse if you follow a wooded trail for a bit; the views are breathtaking and totally worth the 5-10 minute walk to get there. That was where I had originally planned on having the F family go for their beach session, but then I stumbled upon another beach down a super steep path on the opposite side of the parking lot and luckily, John and Rachel were up for hiking down the slope to the little rocky beach there.
This session was so much fun, and it was really great to see this sweet family of three again. The last time I photographed them in person was for Ella’s at home newborn session. You might also remember them from Rachel’s woodsy, fall Kingsley Pines maternity session, and sweet Ella’s Fresh 48 Hospital Session. It’s always so special to be able to photograph a family over time, documenting real life moments and capturing all the amazing changes that time brings. I feel so lucky to have been able to document John and Rachel’s journey into parenthood and to be able to meet up with them to capture yet another special season in their life. I couldn’t believe how much Ella had grown, and it was so much fun trying to get her to crack a smile me. She loved picking up the rocks, dipping her toes in the water, and looking for seagulls in the sky. Here are a few of my favorites from their seaside session.
