Guess what? Your family session can be anything you want it to be! Truly! My main goal at my family sessions is to tell a story that is authentic to your family. I want you to look at your images and truly see yourselves in them. And this looks different for every family! For some, this is meeting in your own backyard, blowing bubbles, and chasing each other around the yard like you do every afternoon before dinner. For others, this could be going on a paddle boarding adventure or hopping into your family’s boat for some photos. It could also mean going to your favorite beach and skipping stones. Whatever it is that puts your family in their happy place, I want to be there, documenting those moments for you. 

I met Tegan and Garret at their family’s happy place, Tegan’s family’s beach cottage in Ocean Park and it was seriously one of the most fun sessions I’ve ever photographed.  These three (plus their cute little pup Gizmo) showed up as themselves, and proceeded to just play on the beach with each other. Felix loved all things water and sand, and I kid you not, was covered in sand within the first five minutes of the session. From there on out there was nothing left to do but to embrace it and have some fun splashing, running, digging and playing in the sand. Here are a (not so very) few of my favorites because narrowing down this session was really hard!
