Sooo, I feel like I blinked and bam, fall is here! Especially with the colder temperatures this week, I could really feel the new season sinking in. But hey, I can’t complain because we had a relatively warm September and October here in Maine, which made all my fall sessions so amazing. Usually by October we are battling some cold weather days, and you never quite know what you’re going to get for outdoor fall session once we get into the month of October.

Luckily, the L Family got a beautiful morning for their family session at Maine Audubon, and I am so in love with their photos! When Taylor contacted me to schedule their session, I got super excited because she told me was expecting their second baby this winter and wanted to do a session to document her family of three before their new babe comes. I really love capturing families on the brink of change like this, because that time before a new baby arrives is so fleeting, and so special and definitely deserves to be documented. Sweet little Ellie was as cute as can be, and was such a joy to photograph. A little shy at first, she quickly warmed up and was then off ready to explore the trails, look for birds in the sky, smell flowers, and play all sorts of fun little games with her mom and dad.
