Mary + Ryan | Roque Bluffs Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographer | Stepheney Collins Photography

Machias. Maine. Magic. I found this sticker on a table in the hotel room where Ryan and his guys were getting ready and those three words sum up this wedding for me. Machias is an interesting and magical place up the coast of Maine. Well, actually it’s downeast and no, you can’t get there from here. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.) This wedding was all sorts of Maine magic, and it wouldn’t have come together the way it did if Mary and Ryan hadn’t chosen Machias as the location.

The guys began their day by knocking the last item on the wedding to do list off and then took a dip in the ocean. Meanwhile Mary and her girls were hanging out and getting ready at a gorgeous three story Airbnb a few minutes down the road from Roque Bluffs State Park. The weather looked questionable for most of the day, but the rain was a big fat no show, and the sun actually came out during Mary and Ryan’s beach portraits. After stopping to snap a few pics by some lupines on our way to the reception, the party kicked off with Mary and Ryan’s first dance (to Tennessee Whiskey! which was almost the song my hubby and I chose for ours) and then there was a lot of delicious barbecue noshed on, Maine Mule’s sipped on, and awesome rugs danced on! Mary and Ryan, thank you for trusting me to capture your Machias Maine Magic!
