Oh how I love first birthday photo shoots, especially when we can get the whole family in on the action! First birthdays are a great time to schedule a session with me, because not only will I capture the little one at a milestone age (6 months, 9 months, 1 year) but I also love to include siblings and mom and dad in the photos.

This lovely family was referred to me by a mutual friend, and I must say, it’s always so exciting when friends send families my way because by the time the shoot rolls around and we actually meet in person, it already feels like we are friends. The M Family is one of those families who makes you feel right at home when you walk in the door. Their oldest daughter Mila greeted me upon arrival and made me feel welcome right away. Brittany invited me to their home to snap some pictures of their youngest daughter, Hallie, as she had just turned one and the M Family wanted to celebrate this milestone with her. I had so much fun getting to know this family and it was a joy to capture Hallie’s personality. Hallie was shy at first, but once we got her giggling, there were so many smiles! Big sister Mila was such a great helper throughout the session. Here are a few of my favorite images from their session!
