The month of January tends to be a quiet time of year for a lot of photographers, but I think that makes it the perfect time to learn some new skills. I make it a priority to take classes during the slower times of the year to make sure that I am staying inspired and always learning how to be a better photographer.

I am so thankful for being introduced to this wonderful family who let me spend a Saturday morning with them at their beautiful farm house. Hanging with this family was relaxing and fun, and their two little girls were such a joy to capture. And not to mention the fact that I am absolutely obsessed with the light in these photos—winter light might just be my new favorite kind of light!
