Christina + Nils | Eastern Promenade & US Custom House Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographer | Stepheney Collins Photography
Oh where to begin with this one? I could write so many good things about Christina and Nils, who found me on Facebook and reached out to me this past January to shoot their August wedding. After our first phone conversation, I remember feeling so excited to work with them. They both have a beautiful energy about them, and are some of the most kindest, genuine people I’ve met.
Hailing from Brooklyn, they planned a perfectly Portland wedding, which included a getting ready location up on the East End, the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad for transportation to and from the ceremony at Fish Point (a beautiful spot on the Eastern Prom overlooking Casco Bay), and the reception held at the stunning US Custom House on Commercial Street. I have so many favorite moments from their day, including but not limited to Nils rehearsing his vows to his groomspeople, the mother of the bride’s heartfelt reaction to seeing Christina’s Kleinfeld dress for the first time in person, waiting and waiting and waiting for Ubers to transport the bridal party from the airbnb to the Maine Narrow Gauge, Nils’ reaction to Christina’s vows, Christina and Nils stopping at Capn’ Bill’s Lobster for a serenade (from the capn’ himself) and crab roll before heading into the reception, and Christina and her father tearing it up on the dance floor once the dance party kicked in. Here are a not so few of my many favorites from this beautiful day!
